CHALLENGE

Insideout Dermatology is a dermatology clinic located in Melbourne’s northern suburb of Preston and led by Dr Niyati Sharma. It’s a medical specialist practice that focuses on diseases of skin, hair and nails. Insideout Dermatology is the first dedicated dermatology service combining medicine with evidence-based nutrition research in Australia. Dr Niyati turned to OMD for help as they were looking to build a new website that would improve their online presence, rank better in search engines, bring more visitors and convert them effectively into loyal patients.

SOLUTION

OMD proposed the idea of designing a fully-functional website with the goal of increasing awareness–advertising each specialty and educating patients on the procedures, as well as their dermatologist.

OMD laid out a strategic plan to develop a new web design that was also mobile friendly. By creating a custom WordPress site, OMD could produce a content management system geared towards generating and converting leads.

The first step was outlining the site structure–what was needed and where. OMD knew they had to map out key features and keep the design consistent. The immediate call outs were: an about page, highlight on the doctor, patient information, GP referrals, treatments & procedures, and a contact us form.

Next, was putting On-Page SEO into play. OMD began developing more content that included keywords the client could use to increase search engine results. In the end, through competitive research, monitoring and testing, it was easy to organize the overall content on each page and begin implementing throughout the site.

The new website featured consistent photos, videos and a design theme throughout to reach their targeted audience and increase visitors to the page. The final sitemap included the pages: home, about us, treatments/services, patient info, for referrals, and contact us.
