“In the four years we’ve been in business, this has never happened before — between now and the start of November, I’ve only got three days of availability left. It’s a phenomenal feeling to look at that kind of runway and know it gives me real confidence and assurance in where the business is heading.
I can’t put it down to one single thing, but the leads coming through, and the whole process we now have in place, is working well. The quality of enquiries has improved significantly — they’re ready and to the point, not time-wasters. Just last week we were moving people around trying to fit everyone in, and now we’re filling up fast. I’m really, really stoked about it.”

The Situation
Atlantis Medical is a specialist hair restoration clinic based in Malvern, Melbourne, led by Dr Vikram Jayaprakash, one of only three ABHRS board-certified hair restoration surgeons in Australia, a Fellow of the ISHRS and the creator and co-host of The Hair Loss Show, a YouTube channel with more than 136,000 subscribers. The clinic operates on a one patient per day model, with Dr Vikram performing FUE and FUT procedures himself.
When Atlantis Medical came to Online Marketing For Doctors (OMD) in 2024, the clinic had an established local reputation and SEO, social media and Google Ads already in place. But previous marketing efforts were producing inconsistent organic growth, website traffic and enquiries had plateaued, the clinic was missing out on search demand for its key services, and Google Ads was underperforming against industry benchmarks. Procedures were only being booked 2 to 3 weeks in advance, and a large share of the paid traffic was producing clicks and enquiries that took up the team’s time without turning into booked procedures.
For a clinic that treats one patient per day, every surgery slot counts. The goal was not more enquiries for their own sake. It was better enquiries, a calendar booked months ahead, and a brand that Google, Google Maps and AI search tools recognise as the leading hair transplant authority in Melbourne.

What We Implemented
Technique 1: Rebuild the Website Around One Hero Procedure
We rebuilt the Atlantis Medical website so that hair transplant surgery in Melbourne is the clear centre of the site rather than one service in a long list. The site leads with the clinic’s defining promise, “One Patient, One Day, One Transformation”, puts Dr Vikram’s ABHRS and ISHRS credentials and unedited before and after results in front of every visitor, and gives every page a single next step: a 15-minute phone consultation. Visitors who are not yet ready to book are captured through a Hair Loss Quiz and two downloadable patient guides.
Why: every funnel in the campaign, Google Ads, Meta, Google Business Profile, organic search and AI recommendations, ends on the same website. Building that website around the clinic’s highest-value procedure and its strongest differentiators means every visitor, whichever channel they arrive from, sees the same proof of expertise and the same clear next step. That is what we used to turn interest into traffic growth into booking growth.
The result: page one of Google for the main procedure, and a website that in July 2026 recorded its highest organic search traffic month on record and its second-highest total traffic month ever.
Technique 2: Dedicated Google Ads Landing Pages for Melbourne and New Zealand
We built a dedicated, focused landing page for the Hair Transplant Melbourne campaign, and a second landing page for the New Zealand market, for patients who live or plan to travel to Melbourne for surgery with Dr Vikram.
Why: paid search traffic arrives with a specific intent and a cost attached to every click. A dedicated landing page matches that intent exactly, removes the navigation and competing content of a standard website page, and holds the visitor to a single call to action. It also isolates the campaign’s performance, so conversion rate, cost per enquiry and lead quality can be measured and improved without the noise of general website traffic. A separate page for New Zealand lets the message speak to that market directly.
The result: the Melbourne campaign now converts at 9%, well above the ~6% medical industry average. Along the way, November 2025 saw the conversion rate rise 23.4% month on month and the click-through rate rise 15%, with the “hair transplant clinic” keyword converting at 27.75%. Conversions are tracked across calendar bookings, enquiry forms, click-to-call and guide downloads, so the clinic can see exactly which enquiries become consultations.

Campaign Results:
Technique 3: Full-Funnel Meta Ads Focused on Lead Quality
We restructured Facebook and Instagram advertising into a full-funnel system: an Instagram engagement campaign that builds awareness of Atlantis Medical and Dr Vikram’s personal brand by putting spend behind the clinic’s best organic content, and a main lead generation campaign running both video and static creatives.
Why: people on social media are not searching for a hair transplant when they see an ad, so a single ad cannot carry a prospect from first awareness to a booked consultation. A full-funnel structure builds familiarity with Dr Vikram and the clinic first, then captures the people who have shown real interest. The previous activity was producing clicks and impressions that cost the clinic time without producing procedures. We removed that spend and directed the budget to the creatives and audiences that produce enquiries capable of becoming surgery bookings.
The result: From June to October 2026 the main campaign reached 131,000 people and generated 557,000 impressions, 5,795 link clicks and 206 leads at $44 per lead, 13.23% below Meta’s benchmark for the account. Video and static creatives both deliver at a stable cost per lead, with the leading video ad alone producing 69 leads.
Technique 4: AI SMS Bot for Instant Lead Follow-Up
We implemented an AI-powered SMS bot through the clinic’s CRM that replies to every new enquiry within minutes, answers initial questions and guides the lead toward a phone consultation with the clinic.
Why: speed of response is one of the strongest predictors of whether an enquiry converts. A prospect researching hair transplants usually contacts more than one clinic, and the first clinic to respond sets the standard the others are judged against. A clinic that dedicates whole days to a single patient cannot always answer immediately, so the bot removes the gap between enquiry and first contact.
The result: every enquiry receives an immediate, consistent response, and the leads that reach the team are warmer and better qualified. An inbound AI agent is now being developed to handle calls when the clinic is unmanned.
Technique 5: Reorganise and Optimise the Google Business Profiles
We reorganised and optimised the clinic’s Google Business Profiles so that Atlantis Medical is accurately and completely represented for hair transplant searches in Melbourne.
Why: for a location-based procedure, Google Maps is where patients shortlist clinics, and the profile is often the first impression they form. Google also treats the profile as a primary signal of what the business is and where it operates, so an accurate, complete and actively maintained profile improves local ranking and helps prospective patients choose Atlantis Medical over competitors before they have visited a single website.
The result: by March 2026, Atlantis Medical ranks in the top three of Google Maps for “best hair transplant Melbourne”, with a 4.6 star rating and reviews such as “Highly recommended to anyone considering a transplant” showing directly in the map results.
Technique 6: Organic Social Media to Strengthen SEO and Paid Campaigns
Organic social media for Atlantis Medical is not run as a stand-alone channel. It does two jobs. It supports search visibility by distributing the clinic’s content, including the blog and the snippets from Dr Vikram’s YouTube series “The Hair Loss Show”, across the platforms where patients spend time. And it strengthens the paid campaigns: people who see an ad and check the profile before enquiring find an active, credible presence.

Technique 7: OMD High Performance 9 Step SEO Process
We applied our 9 Step SEO Process to Atlantis Medical. The process covers every area that decides whether a clinic is found, trusted and chosen in search, and for Atlantis Medical the work, and the results it produced, fall into five areas.
Search demand and keyword strategy
When the clinic came to OMD it was missing out on search demand for its key services. A single procedure page cannot rank for every question a Melbourne hair transplant patient asks, so the hero page carries the commercial searches, “hair transplant Melbourne” and the procedure terms, and the blog carries the research questions, from the FUE versus FUT comparison through to cost, recovery and “best hair transplant” questions, with each one supporting the other.
The result: by March 2025 Atlantis Medical was on page one of Google for “hair transplant Melbourne”, organic search was the largest acquisition channel at 69% of website users, organic users were up 20% month on month, and website key events were up 40% month on month.
Content and surgeon authority
Every core procedure now has its own page, FUE, FUT, female hair transplant, men’s hair transplant, beard, eyebrow and hair transplant for scars, alongside the non-surgical treatment pages, and the blog has grown to more than 50 articles, published under Dr Vikram’s own byline. Topics follow the questions patients ask before they are ready to enquire: FUE versus FUT, whether a transplant is worth it, what happens on the day, whether PRP works. The written content is backed by the credentials a patient weighs when comparing surgeons, ABHRS board certification and Fellowship of the ISHRS, and by The Hair Loss Show, which gives the site a video answer from Dr Vikram to the most common questions.
Why: hair transplant patients research for months and compare clinics on credentials, technique and cost. The clinic that answers those questions thoroughly, in the surgeon’s own voice, is the clinic they trust when they are ready to book, and the same depth of content is what search engines use to judge expertise.

https://atlantismedical.com.au/blog/what-happens-during-a-hair-transplant/
https://atlantismedical.com.au/blog/does-prp-work-for-hair-loss/
The result: organic users are up 70.45% year on year (150 vs 88), organic conversions are up 45% (58 vs 40), and organic click-to-calls are up 70% (10 to 17) in the last 30 days. Organic search has grown from 26% to 42% of all website key events. July 2026 was the highest organic search traffic month on record and the highest month for enquiries since November 2025.
Technical and on-page foundations
The rebuilt website was built with strong SEO foundations from the start, with a site structure that gives the hero procedure and every supporting page a clear place, so each service can be indexed, understood and ranked on its own. This is the layer patients never see, and it is what allows the content above it to perform.
The result: a website that recorded its second-highest total traffic month ever in July 2026, on top of its record organic month.
Local search
Google Business Profile work sits inside the same process and is covered under Technique 5. Its contribution to the SEO result is the top three Google Maps position for “best hair transplant Melbourne” and the 4.6 star rating patients see before they ever reach the website.
AI search visibility
The final area shapes the hair transplant page and the clinic’s authority signals so that Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT and similar tools can read, trust and cite them. Search is shifting from a list of links to direct answers, and for a procedure patients research as carefully as a hair transplant, being the clinic the AI names first is the strongest authority position a clinic can hold.
The result: by September 2026 ChatGPT names Atlantis Medical its pick for the best hair transplant clinic in Melbourne and Dr Vikram the top hair transplant doctor in the city, citing the clinic’s own pages as its source, and Google’s AI Overview for “best hair transplant doctor in Melbourne” lists Dr Vikram first. The reasons the AI gives for its ranking, ABHRS board certification, Fellowship of the ISHRS, the surgeon performing every stage of the procedure and the one patient per day model, are exactly the authority signals the content strategy was built around.
Where Atlantis Medical Is Today
Atlantis Medical now has a website that converts, a page one visibility for its main procedure, a steady flow of qualified enquiries and a surgery list booked 3 months in advance, with an inbound AI agent being developed to handle calls and increase the availability to answer inquiries. In Dr Vikram’s own words, with three or four months of the year still to run, it is already the best year the clinic has had.
