#53 - 3 Strategies to Cheaply Market Your Clinic During a ‘Time-of-Crisis

As you probably know, more people are online watching news reports, checking in on their social media, as many of us are stuck at home.

Last week I sent you a video talking about the uphill battle that we are all facing during this Coronavirus crisis, and I also talked about the opportunity that it presents to all of us right now.

As you probably know, more people are online watching news reports, checking in on their social media, as many of us are stuck at home.

So if you’ve ever contemplated ramping up your online presence, this is the absolute best time to do so.

So, to help and inspire you, in this video, I am going to show you 3 quick and easy things that you can do to build-up your online audience, reputation and brand during this period, at a cheap cost to you.

Now the 1st thing you can do is to start a Facebook or Instagram Live Stream Video Series

This is a great way to start speaking to your audience, and sharing with them the purpose and benefits of your services and solutions.

Your audience is actively online right now; both your existing patients and new prospects, so this is the best time to engage and connect with them via video live streams.

And you know what? It is still a free feature! Take advantage of it now while Facebook hasn’t started charging you for live broadcasting.

You can use these videos later for your blog posts or your YouTube channel.

And what equipment do you need to start livestreaming?

Well...A phone that has camera! That’s it. And I’m pretty sure all of you have it right now in your hip pocket.

But then a lot of you might be asking...Hey Huyen...I want to look good in these videos... do I need more professional equipment?

I’m pretty sure you look good right now in whatever camera you have right now.

Ok. If you are keen to have higher quality of your video, I’d suggest recording your video with a video app called Vivavideo.

I’ve spent some time finding the perfect app for making videos with a phone camera and this is the one.

It costs only $30 a year and it produces amazing high-quality video content for your channels.

If you want even better lighting for your video, you should consider buying a ring light that attaches to your camera for around $90(that’s including shipping cost, cant it be better than that).

That’s it! With $120 you’ll have all the equipment you need to get started to produce amazing videos for your website and social media channels.

And why do we do this? Why do we create all these videos?

Let me give you some stats...

  • According to Cisco, video will represent 80% of all internet traffic this year
  • People are 10 times more likely to share good video content compared to other blog posts and images
  • Up to85% of Facebook video is now watched without sound, that highlights the importance of having captions on your videos.

Speaking of captions, we use a service called Rev.com, that’s a transcription and captioning service.

They provide 90% accuracy for their captioning work that they are doing, and it only costs a dollar twenty-five cent a minute.

Rev is an amazing and a game changer, will save you a lot of time and improve user experience on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube massively.

Now when it comes to topics, you can choose a topic that you are really passionate about or topics that you know your audience will be keen to learn more about.

Or it could be frequently asked questions that you get asked all the time.

You can gather all these topics and break it up into a 3 or 5-part series.

And keep in mind to put a clear call-to-action at the end of each video so prospects know what to do next after watching your video.

It could be a phone or online consultation with you or your staff or buy your stuff...

But Huyen, my clinic is closed right now... What’s the point of having all these done?

You know what...the point is to build up a warm list of prospects and nurture them so they can be more ready than ever to see you after the lockdown is over.

You can have your staff to have a phone or online consultation with them first to see if they are a good fit for your procedure or clinic or not

Now the 2nd thing that you can do is to create and share lead magnet content .

Now you might be asking me…what is the lead magnet?

If you have been following our podcast series, we’ve talked about lead magnets a lot in our sales funnel or content marketing topics.

A lead magnet is an incentive that you can offer a prospect in exchange for their contact information.

A lead magnet can be anything of value to prospective patient; like a 5-page special e-book, a report, webinar or video.

This lead magnet has to feature a killer headline and it has to be so irresistible that your prospects can’t help but sign up for it.

This is the perfect downtime for you to invest time and energy into creating lead magnets, or freebies for your clinic so that you can start building an email list of warmer prospects and I hope that’s something that you are doing right now!

As the email list the most important, valuable digital asset that you can have PERIOD.

Now the 3rd thing you can do is to...Launch Social Media Advertising

Now that you have some high-quality video content and a lead magnet, it is time to promote them.

Creating great content is one thing, but promoting it is equally important.

How you can promote it?

By launching social media ads on Facebook & Instagram platforms.

Most of your competition will be following the herd and doing the whole "let's sit around and talk about coronavirus”.

Many of them will stop advertising (or at least slow it down) because …you know ... "the economy". Or we’ve had to close temporarily.

And this is happening on a large enough scale, and you know what...the AD COSTS WILL GO DOWN!

This is the perfect time to tap into social media ads when people are spending the most time on social media, and ads are cheaper than ever.

We have noticed that the cost per lead magnet acquisition has gone down by 50% in some cases. We haven’t seen the same cost level since 2014.

People have more time now than ever before to be online, and researching for future procedure or treatment.

With Facebook ad prices at an all-time low, this is a great time to get in front of your audience cheaply.

So you can create one video and one image ad promoting your lead magnet and launch it for just $10 a day.

And keep testing to see which one performs better and focus on optimizing it to get the best results.
